This next piece isn't finished yet, and it's earrings again. It's something a bit new, and I've no idea if anyone will want this. If you are interested, do let me know, the charms and hooks are sterling silver, all Swarovski crystals, so it's going for around $32.

Sorry guys, you may have noticed that Edynae pieces are going up by a little. I'm not going to lie, it's because I can no longer afford to keep prices like last time due to increasing costs of wire and Swarovski crystals. Though my work tends to be very flowly and smooth-looking, it actually, in reality, is time-consuming and requires quite some effort before it finally gets presented to you (which is why I'm always late). I may have to switch over to the USA market soon.

On a brighter note, I'm still updating the site with loads of random goodies, and yes, the budget collection will still be around, expect items priced anywhere from $10-$20. =)

But I have been thinking of getting a pair of Lady Gaga Showcase tickets as a surprise for my friend, and as he has never had the opportunity to get the tickets to see any concert before, it really would be a nice surprise.

Egg Sandwiches

“Hi,” She said as she plopped down by the old weeping willow tree. She set her basket on her lap and laid her hands on the star-patterned blue cloth that covered the top.

“I’m here again.”

There was no answer.

“Ah. You’re moody. Well, cheer up, I’ve brought your favourite, and I’ve got a drink this time. Weird time to be eating, but when have we cared anyway.” She uncovered the cloth and pulled out a plate of sandwiches, a bottle of soda and two mugs. She tugged the cling-film from the plate and took the first sandwich.

“Here.” She offered it to the dark shadow that spilled across the grass. There was no movement, only the slight rustling of leaves as the wind picked up. She could swear that he almost shrugged his shoulders in response.

“Not hungry huh. No wonder you’re so skinny.” She paused, studying the side of his face for a moment. “Guess you wouldn’t mind if I eat then.”

She took a big bite out of her sandwich, relishing in the light, creamy taste of egg yolk and mayonnaise.

“I just got my grades back. Mostly As, except for a C in Physics. I really hate Physics, funny how that’s your thing.” A sudden breeze whipped her hair about her face, and she hurriedly dug out a hairpin from the pocket of her dress. After securing her hair tightly to the side of her head, she turned back to her meal.

“Yup, Physics. Always was going to be an astronaut, weren’t you? And you did it so well. Momma’s really excited by the way. Says that I’ll get into a good college. But I’m not quite so enthusiastic. Life just seems incomplete right now, well, ever since you left home for your great adventure in space. And there was your big send-off two weeks ago.”

She sighed and sipped at her mug, idly twirling a lock of dark hair with a finger.

“Deborah moved out last week,” She continued. “Packed up her bags and all. Told me that she’s going west, because she wants to see the city, but I think she just wants to get away from you. Ever since you got yourself into this state, I don’t think she’s been quite herself.”

Then her tone grew harsher. “She was your fiancée, you idiot. You only have yourself to blame you know.”

Again, she paused, and tilted her head up to the darkening blue sky as the sun began its descent. A sparrow chirped behind her and flew away. When she next spoke, it was a little more wistful.

“I have always wondered, what’s it like, looking at the stars from way up there? Of course you would know, you look at ‘em all the time. You’re lucky that way. Stuck in that big o’spaceship while the rest of us mortals scurry about like ants, going about everyday life.” She fixated her honey-eyed gaze to the figure before her and imagined a twinkle in his eye. If he still could speak, he would probably tease and tell her that she was being silly. But solid still he sat, as if totally oblivious to her presence.

It was always like that, her talking, and him just sitting there. However, she found something oddly comforting about these “conversations”, it made up for the emptiness that found its way into her heart so often these days. Talking to her brother was always pleasant, but nowadays it was a need.

There was silence now, no sounds save for her munching.

She finished the last sandwich, and brushed off the bread crumbs from her mouth with her thumb. After quenching her thirst with a drink of soda, she set about packing up for the trip home.

“Those sandwiches were really great. Momma made ‘em special, you know. She spiced the eggs just how you liked ‘em. Too bad you had to miss out on this one. What was it you used to say Tim? ‘Nothin’ more ace like eggs in space’?” She giggled a little as she mimicked his deep voice. Grasping the basket handle, she stood up, back pressed against the bark of the tree, and stared at the sunset. Hues of purple and red lit up the sky in a striking manner as the golden orb gradually sank down in the distance.

Then, her eyes grew sad, and she walked over to stand directly in front of the grave. Her fingers gently traced the delicate features of the bronze statue that was in the likeness of her brother.

“Yeah. I know you’re never coming down. But it’s nice to pretend, all the same. It’s not getting much better at home, but… but on some days, days I come here, I think… walking past your old room is easier. That’s one step to healing I guess.” A tear spilled past her eyelids and splashed onto the grass below.

“I’m meeting those people tomorrow, the ones you… yeah. They’re all going to get you a nice, big shiny plaque. You’re a real hero you know, and I’m... well… I’m just going to be back again, aren’t I?”

She gave a cool cheek one last tender stroke before beginning her slow descent down the hillside.

Back at the willow tree, the wind picked up again, whistling through the sweeping branches as a hidden nightingale began a sweet melody to beckon in the night. Overhead, set up high against the deep purple of the twilight sky, a lone star twinkled merrily.

The Mirror of Mellyrn

Not for sale, but I may do more like this in the future. =P

Mellyrn are the name of the trees that are known to grow in Lothlorien, its name literally means "golden tree" but since its bark is silver-grey I thought why not.

What I mean by the back is that you can flip the mirror part over, so that you'll have a nice empty space to see your reflection and do your makeup and so on, while the butterfly side goes to the back.

A sneak preview of a collection coming up today too.
